Abstract

This paper is an experimental and theoretical study of the permeability reduction of snadpacks caused by solids generation and migration. Two solids, calcium and barium sulfate crystals,w ere inejcted into a generated within the sandpacks by chemical reaction. We found that we could simulate the effluent concentrations, including the produced solids, with a fractional flow model for solids migration.
